Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta, D.I.: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (16/8/2024) at 08.38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel fish, broiler chicken meat, red chilies, iodized fine salt, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), pure beef, premium rice, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp920 (10.57%) to Rp9,620 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp2,310 (6.5%) to Rp33,250 per kg.
