Red Chili Pepper Prices in North Maluku Increased by 20.53% in One Week

The price of large red chilies in North Maluku was Rp 54,900 per kg on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Compared to other regions, this region showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of large red chilies in North Maluku increased by 20.53% within a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of large red chilies in this region also increased by 20.53%.

However, over the past year, the selling price of large red chilies in North Maluku's modern markets has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 73,700 per kg.

From January to February 2022, the price of large red chilies in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 20.53% compared to the previous month.

The price of large red chilies reached its lowest point at Rp 45,550 per kg on Monday, January 3, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 54,900 per kg.

Nationally, the price of large red chilies began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of large red chilies in modern markets was Rp 72,840 per kg, down 5.35% compared to the previous weekend.
