Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Rice, Egg, and Chicken Prices Increase (Sunday, February 18, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (18/2/2024) at 09.24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, premium rice, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for livestock-level corn, up Rp340 (3.99%) to Rp8,870 per kg. The lowest price decrease was for milkfish, down Rp1,330 (3.97%) to Rp32,160 per kg.
