Local Granulated Sugar Prices in Modern Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets of DKI Jakarta province is recorded at Rp17,450 per kg. This price has remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price a month ago, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp15,600 per kg.

Meanwhile, in the past three months, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets in DKI Jakarta has increased by 11.86% from the previous trading price of Rp15,600 per kg.

The record increase in daily local granulated sugar prices in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with a 36.4% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a -25.15% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in DKI Jakarta show that 11 commodities have decreased and 18 others have increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Chicken Meat, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Grade 2 Beef, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Cooking Oil, Beef, Medium-Sized Garlic, Garlic, Medium-Sized Shallots, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, and Grade 1 Beef.

8. Fresh Broiler Eggs per Kg Rp27,800 per kg (up 1.46%)
9. Lower I Quality Rice per Kg Rp14,950 per kg (up 5.65%)
10. Red Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp110,950 per kg (up 62.21%)
11. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per Kg Rp21,650 per kg (down 8.65%)
12. Grade 2 Beef per Kg Rp165,450 per kg (down 7.93%)
