Indonesia's Annual Inflation Rate Falls to 2.06% in February 2022

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that Indonesia's year-on-year (yoy) inflation was at 2.06% in February 2022. This inflation rate decreased from the previous month's 2.18% (yoy).

The highest year-on-year inflation was in the household goods and routine maintenance category at 3.4% (yoy). This was followed by food and beverage/restaurant services at 2.97% (yoy), and personal care and other services at 2.85% (yoy).

Meanwhile, the information, communication, and financial services category experienced a year-on-year deflation of 0.25% (yoy).

Looking at the calendar year, Indonesia also recorded inflation of 0.54% (calendar to calendar/ctc). The highest inflation was in the household goods and routine maintenance category at 1.24% (ctc).

The next highest inflation was in personal care and other services at 1.23% (ctc), and food and beverage/restaurant services at 0.9% (ctc).

The information, communication, and financial services category experienced a deflation of 0.17% (ctc).
