South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Wednesday, February 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 13:39 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp480 (1.43%) to Rp34,020 per kg. Iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp410 (3.46%) to Rp11,450 per kg.
