Latest Food Prices in Riau Region: Chili Up, Sugar Down (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Riau today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (22/1/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, mackerel, dry soybean (import), medium rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp2,830 (7.69%) to Rp39,610 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel prices decreased the most at Rp2,200 (5.28%) to Rp39,470 per kg.
