Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (17/6/2024) at 11.07 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase at Rp3,120 (18.52%) to Rp19,970 per liter. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the largest price drop at Rp6,440 (17.88%) to Rp29,580 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on June 17, 2024, at 11.07 WIB.

6. Milkfish: Rp35,500 per kg (up 9.5%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,000 per kg (up 13.45%)
8. Mackerel: Rp33,990 per kg (up 6.95%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp29,580 per kg (down 17.88%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,980 per kg (down 2.35%)
