There are 3,816 residents of Central Java with doctoral degrees (S3).

The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs recorded that 1.8 million people (4.86%) of Central Java's population had received higher education as of June 2021, out of a total population of 37.23 million.

The details are as follows: 3,816 people (0.01%) are doctoral graduates, 72,130 people (0.19%) completed their education at the master's level, and 1.19 million people (3.2%) completed their education at the bachelor's level.

Furthermore, 423,000 people (1.14%) of the population led by Governor Ganjar Pranowo completed their education at the Diploma 3 level, and 117,000 people (0.31%) completed their education at the Diploma 1/2 level.

The number of Central Java residents who have completed Senior High School (SLTA) is 6.17 million (16.58%), and those who have completed Junior High School (SLTP) is also 6.17 million (16.59%).

Then, there are 11.12 million residents of Central Java who have completed elementary school (SD). There are also 3.9 million people (10.5%) in the province who have not completed elementary school. Furthermore, 8.04 million people (21.6%) of Central Java's population have not attended/completed any schooling.
