President Joko Widodo targeted the completion of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail by June 2023.
“To date, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail is 79.9 percent complete. We hope that it can be trial-run by the end of 2022 and then operationalized in June 2023,” said the President in his press statement in January 2022.
“We hope that the completion of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail will reduce congestion in both Jakarta and Bandung, and also accelerate the mobility of people and goods. We hope this will become a good competitive advantage for our country,” he added.
