8.95% of Bali's Population Has Received Higher Education

Education is one of the indicators used to measure the welfare of a region. A higher number of residents with higher education levels reflects a more prosperous region.

The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs recorded that 382,500 people (8.95%) of the Bali population have received education up to the tertiary level.

The details are as follows: 1,550 people (0.04%) are S3 graduates, 18,650 people (0.44%) have completed their education up to the S2 level, and 231,940 people (5.43%) have obtained an S1 degree.

Furthermore, 64,250 people (1.5%) in the province have received education up to the D3 level, and 66,100 people (1.55%) have received education up to the D1/D2 level.

The population of Bali with education up to the Upper Secondary Level (SLTA) is 1,030,000 (24.21%). The population with education up to the Lower Secondary Level (SLTP) is 497,770 (11.65%).

The population of Bali recorded as having completed primary school (SD) is 954,570 (22.33%). There are also 377,180 people (8.83%) in the province who have not completed primary school. Meanwhile, the population who have not attended/completed any schooling is 1,030 (0.24%).
