The highest number of detected hotspots was in South Papua with 912 points, followed by West Kalimantan at second place with 635 points, and Central Kalimantan at third with 220 hotspots.
211 hotspots were detected in East Java, 91 in Central Java, while South Kalimantan and Maluku recorded 79 and 76 detected hotspots respectively.
A hotspot is a coordinate point showing higher surface temperature than surrounding areas; it does not equal the count of actual fire incidents.
