The first game between Gregoria and Yu Fei was intense. However, after five points, Gregoria's attacks became unstoppable, leading to an 11-5 win over Yu Fei.
Then, in the next 17 minutes, Gregoria finished the first game with a score of 21-12.
Similarly, at the beginning of the second game, Gregoria and Yu Fei battled for points. However, Gregoria remained aggressive and dominated the game, scoring a final score of 21-12.
Gregoria stated that her victory was due to her skillful and calm play.
"I also benefited from Chen Yu Fei's subpar performance today. But overall, I'm satisfied with my performance today," said Gregoria in a statement on the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) website on Monday, November 20, 2023.
In this moment, Gregoria achieved two milestones. She won her first Super 500 title in her career and became the first Indonesian women's singles player to achieve this feat.
