To reduce the high number of pregnant women testing positive for Hepatitis B in Indonesia, in 2022 the Kemenkes provided the antiviral drug tenofovir disoproxil fumarate in 180 healthcare facilities across 34 regencies/cities in 17 provinces in Indonesia.

"We will expand the areas for antiviral drug provision. We hope that by 2029, all regencies/cities can provide the antiviral drug tenofovir disoproxil fumarate to pregnant women," said Imran.
