Globally, several countries possess numerous data centers. According to Data Centre, the United States (US) has the most, with 2,000 data centers.

The following is a list of the top 10 countries with the most data centers in 2021:

1. United States - 2,670 data centers
2. United Kingdom - 452 data centers
3. Germany - 443 data centers
4. China - 416 data centers
5. Netherlands - 275 data centers
6. Australia - 272 data centers
7. Canada - 269 data centers
8. France - 248 data centers
9. Japan - 205 data centers
10. Russia - 145 data centers

The United States has 2,670 data centers spread across various regions such as Dallas, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and 50 other states. Major data centers in the US include CenturyLink, Verizon, Digital Realty, AT&T, and Equinix.

Meanwhile, Indonesia had 62 data centers in 2020. 36%, or 22, of these data centers were foreign-owned, with 11 owned by Singapore.
