The Metro Jaya Regional Police searched the home of the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, on Thursday (26/10/2023). According to *Katadata*, the searches were conducted at two different locations: Kertanegara, South Jakarta, and Perum Gardenia Villa Galaxy, Bekasi City, West Java.
The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated that the searches were conducted to investigate allegations of extortion by the KPK Chairman against the suspect, former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, a case now being handled by the police. At the time of the search, Firli was at his home in Bekasi.
However, one of the houses searched, the one in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, was not included in Firli's State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) submitted to the KPK.
Firli's LHKPN data for the 2022 reporting period, submitted on February 20, 2023, shows that the KPK Chairman's total assets amounted to Rp22.86 billion. Of this total, land and buildings contributed Rp10.44 billion.
Firli is recorded as owning four houses or buildings and four plots of land. The details are: three houses in Bekasi (claimed to be self-acquired) and one house in Bekasi (inherited). His four plots of land are all located in Bandar Lampung.
The following is a breakdown of Firli Bahuri's land and buildings in 2022 according to the LHKPN, ordered from the most valuable house to the smallest plot of land:
1. Land and building, 612 m2/342 m2 in Bekasi Regency/City, self-acquired, Rp2,727,000,000

7. Land, 300 m2 in Bandar Lampung City, self-acquired, Rp412,500,000
8. Land, 300 m2 in Bandar Lampung City, self-acquired, Rp412,500,000
Firli's lawyer, Ian Iskandar, claims that the Kertanegara house searched by the police does not belong to Firli. According to *CNN Indonesia*, the lawyer stated that Firli rented the house as a place to rest or stay.
This "resting place" was occupied because of its proximity to the KPK office in Kuningan, South Jakarta, making it convenient for commuting. "It's rented. When he's in Jakarta and wants to rest because the distance from Bekasi to his workplace is quite far. Just for rest," he told *CNN Indonesia* in Bekasi on Thursday (26/10/2023).
Ian expressed regret over the police's search of the Kertanegara house, which he viewed as unrelated to Firli personally. "But they still searched places like the Kertanegara house and some neighboring houses that have absolutely no connection to Mr. Firli Bahuri's personal ownership," said Ian.
