According to the National Zakat Agency (Baznas), the implementation of zakat, infak, sadaqah (ZIS), and other religious social funds (DSKL) during the first semester of 2025 amounted to IDR 26.15 trillion.

Meanwhile, in the field of dawah and advocacy, the number of beneficiaries was recorded at 8.39 million, a decrease of 7.05% year-on-year.

"This decrease is relatively small and indicates the stability of the role of dawah in the national zakat utilization system," said Baznas.

Practically, only the economic field recorded an increase in the number of beneficiaries, from 334,909 in the first semester of 2024 to 597,642 in the first semester of 2025.

"This increase is a strong signal that zakat is increasingly being directed towards economic empowerment programs and strengthening the independence of beneficiaries," said Baznas.
