According to a YouGov survey, many Indonesians plan to book transportation, accommodation, and tour tickets for the 2026 Lebaran homecoming more than a week before departing.

The percentage of people planning to buy tickets during this period reaches 38%. Meanwhile, respondents who only book tickets a week before the homecoming amount to 36%.

"The most popular departure time is two to six days before Eid, chosen by 43% of homecomers," YouGov explained in its report.

Meanwhile, a small portion plan to depart on Eid day (13%) or two to six days after it (16%).

This online survey was conducted in November 2025 among 2,012 respondents aged 18 and above. The data was weighted based on gender, age, socioeconomic class, and city level, and reflects the latest population estimates from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
