The Middle East and North Africa region has the lowest percentage of countries with child marriage regulations. Only 5% have such regulations, while 95% do not.

The World Bank reports that 51 out of 190 countries surveyed have laws setting the legal age for marriage at 18 years without exception for parental consent, imposing penalties, and rendering child marriages invalid or voidable.
