13 Million Taxpayers Have Filed Tax Returns by April 2025

According to the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance, approximately 13 million taxpayers had submitted their Annual Tax Returns (SPT) by the deadline of April 11, 2025, at 23:59 WIB. The number of reports in this period grew by 3.26% from the previous year.

Specifically, the number of Annual SPTs came from 380,530 corporate taxpayers and 12.63 million individual taxpayers.

Based on the reporting method, the majority, or 10.98 million SPTs, were submitted via *e-filing*. Another 1.49 million SPTs were reported via *e-form*, and 630 SPTs were submitted via *e-SPT*.

Furthermore, 537,920 SPTs were submitted manually to the tax service office.

Previously, the government, through the Director General of Taxes' Decree Number 79/PJ/2025 dated March 25, 2025, decided to waive penalties for late tax payments and reporting until April 11, 2025.

This decision considered the deadline coinciding with national holidays and joint leave for Nyepi Day and Idul Fitri.

"The national holidays and joint leave potentially caused delays in the payment of Article 29 Income Tax (PPh) and the reporting of Annual SPTs for the 2024 Tax Year," said DJP Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations, Dwi Astuti, as reported by *Antara* on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
