Countries with the Longest Video Game Console Playing Duration in the World: Indonesia Included

Data Reportal's *Digital 2024 October Global Statshot Report* indicates that internet users aged 16 and above spent an average of 61 minutes (1 hour and 1 minute) per day playing console games in October 2024.

Egypt had the highest average console gaming time globally, at 155 minutes (1 hour and 55 minutes) per day.

Indonesia ranked 11th globally, with an average of 68 minutes (1 hour and 8 minutes) per day spent playing console games. This is the same as South Africa and Vietnam.

The following list shows the 15 countries with the longest average daily game playing times in October 2024:

1. Egypt: 155 minutes (1 hour and 55 minutes)
2. Saudi Arabia: 96 minutes (1 hour and 36 minutes)
3. Thailand: 91 minutes (1 hour and 31 minutes)
4. UAE: 81 minutes (1 hour and 21 minutes)
5. Mexico: 81 minutes (1 hour and 21 minutes)
6. India: 79 minutes (1 hour and 19 minutes)
7. Brazil: 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes)
8. Philippines: 72 minutes (1 hour and 12 minutes)
9. United States: 69 minutes (1 hour and 9 minutes)
10. South Africa: 68 minutes (1 hour and 8 minutes)
11. Indonesia: 68 minutes (1 hour and 8 minutes)
12. Vietnam: 68 minutes (1 hour and 8 minutes)
13. Turkey: 63 minutes (1 hour and 3 minutes)
14. Malaysia: 59 minutes
15. Chile: 59 minutes

Data Reportal also noted popular video game formats in October 2024. The shooter genre was the most played, with a 50.8% share.

This was followed by action-adventure (48%), sports (35%), and MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) at 33.4%.
