The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the office and residence of Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu. The search was conducted on Wednesday (17/7/2024).

KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata confirmed the search. He stated that the search was related to alleged corruption in the Semarang City Government.

"Yes, there is an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption in the Semarang City Government," Alex said when contacted by the media on Wednesday (17/7/2024).

According to information, the search is allegedly related to a case of alleged gratuities or fees from several direct appointment projects (PL) in the Semarang City Government during the 2022-2023 period.

Ita, the nickname of this PDI-P cadre, is recorded as having assets worth Rp3.3 billion in 2022, reported on March 17, 2023, according to the KPK's State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN).
