South Tambun Subdistrict Had the Largest Population in Bekasi Regency in 2020

The 2020 Population Census recorded Bekasi Regency's population at 3.11 million. This comprises 1.58 million males and 1.53 million females.

Tambun Selatan sub-district has the largest population in Bekasi Regency, reaching 431,940 inhabitants. It is also the most densely populated area, with a population density of 10,000 people per square kilometer.

Bojongmangu sub-district has the smallest population, at only 27,870 inhabitants, with a population density of 463 people per square kilometer. Muaragembong sub-district has the lowest population density, at only 288 people per square kilometer, while its total population reaches 40,320.

Bekasi Regency's original regional revenue (PAD) decreased by 7% to Rp 2.27 trillion in 2020. This comprises Rp 1.84 trillion from regional taxes, Rp 165.88 billion from regional levies, Rp 19.9 billion from regional government-owned companies and asset management, and Rp 237.84 billion from other legitimate PAD sources.
