Based on the SiPongi forest and land fire monitoring system from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), monitoring over the past 24 hours detected 357 hotspots across Indonesia. This number has decreased by 133 hotspots compared to the previous monitoring period.

This data was obtained from Terra/Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA satellite imagery accessed on Thursday, 11 June 2026 at 11:41 WIB. Out of the 357 detected hotspots: 6 have high confidence level, 341 medium confidence, and 10 low confidence.

Hotspot confidence is divided into 3 tiers: Low (0-29), Medium (30-79), High (80-100). Higher hotspot confidence indicates greater probability of active forest and land fires in the area.

The highest hotspot count was recorded in East Nusa Tenggara with 53 points, followed by East Java (41) and East Kalimantan (32).

31 hotspots were detected in South Sumatra, 27 in Southeast Sulawesi, while West Nusa Tenggara and Central Sulawesi recorded 22 and 20 hotspots respectively.

A hotspot is a coordinate point showing higher surface temperature than surrounding areas; this does not equal the total count of fire incidents.

However, clustered or high-volume hotspot detections indicate active forest and land fires. Satellite remote sensing hotspot data remains the most effective method for large-scale wildfire monitoring.
