A report from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) shows that the number of Indonesian citizens who practice Hinduism reached 4.67 million as of June 30, 2022.
Bali is the province with the largest Hindu population in Indonesia during that period, with 3.71 million people.
The next largest number of Hindus in Indonesia is in Central Kalimantan, with 149,800 people. This is followed by West Nusa Tenggara and Lampung, with 131,295 and 125,222 Hindu adherents respectively.
There are also 111,232 Hindus in Central Sulawesi, followed by 104,709 in East Java, 63,539 in South Sulawesi, and 51,042 in Southeast Sulawesi.
On the other hand, the smallest number of Hindus in Indonesia is in West Sumatra, with only 92 people. Above that are Aceh and North Maluku, with 100 and 108 Hindu residents respectively.
