Survey: Family and Friends Are the Source of Happiness for Indonesian People

Snapcart, an online market research application, collaborated with RB Consulting to conduct a survey on the happiness of Indonesians.

The survey revealed that 58% of respondents stated that family is their primary source of happiness.

The report highlights that family provides emotional support during difficult times, thus contributing to an individual's happiness and well-being.

However, the Snapcart survey also found that 46% of respondents indicated that family can also be a major source of stress.

Friends followed in second place as a source of happiness for 27% of respondents.

"This indicates that relationships are a crucial element in our culture," wrote Snapcart in its *Happiness Among Indonesians* report.

Other sources of happiness for Indonesians include health, relationships/partners, a safe and peaceful life, and work, with proportions as shown in the graph.

The survey conducted by Snapcart and RB Consulting involved 9,863 respondents aged 11-71 years from the Snapcart panel. Respondents were spread across various provinces in Indonesia.

Data collection was conducted online from January 13-16, 2023.
