The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 82 regencies/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 1.45 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Tuesday, July 5, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 26.82 per 100,000 population/week are Tangerang City, North Jakarta City, Bogor City, Kepulauan Seribu, and Bogor City, each with a value of 26.82 per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. 48 regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 23 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Teluk Bintuni, Badung, and Klungkung, with confirmed positive cases of 11.57 per 100,000 population/week, 8.76 per 100,000 population/week, and 8.76 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
