The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 136 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 7.37 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Saturday, November 19, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 69.88 per 100,000 population/week are Bogor City, South Jakarta City, East Jakarta City, Thousand Islands, and West Jakarta City, each with a value of 69.88 per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. 111 districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 106 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Kutai Barat (47.74 per 100,000 population/week), Bulungan (34.03 per 100,000 population/week), and Balikpapan City (31.11 per 100,000 population/week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
