The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 125 regencies/cities with a weekly number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 6.67 per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, November 27, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 110.34 per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and East Jakarta, with values of 160 per 100,000 population/week, 155.76 per 100,000 population/week, 121.14 per 100,000 population/week, 121 per 100,000 population/week, and 110.34 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. Sixty-seven regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 109 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Kutai Barat, Balangan, and Badung, with confirmed positive cases of 41.11 per 100,000 population/week, 31.95 per 100,000 population/week, and 28.16 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
