The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 154 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.31 percent (data as of Thursday, January 19, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 22.4 percent are Parigi Moutong, Tambrauw, Toli Toli, Kepulauan Sangihe, and Temanggung, with values of 27.78 percent, 25 percent, 24 percent, 22.58 percent, and 22.4 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. An increase in the daily seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 84 districts/cities, while 78 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Parigi Moutong, Tambrauw, and Toli Toli, with seven-day positivity rates of 27.78 percent, 25 percent, and 24 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
