Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National COVID-19 Vaccination Completion Rates (Wednesday, May 25, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 298 regencies/cities have a complete vaccination coverage rate above the national average, currently recorded at 73.3 percent (data as of Wednesday, May 25, 2022).

The top five regencies/cities with complete vaccination rates exceeding 141.15 percent are Yogyakarta City (214.93 percent), Central Jakarta City (202.94 percent), Denpasar City (154.79 percent), South Jakarta City (153.65 percent), and Magelang City (141.15 percent).

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in complete vaccination rates in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in complete vaccination rates, higher than previous figures, was recorded in 367 regencies/cities.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest complete vaccination rates include Denpasar City (154.79 percent), Padang Panjang City (127.54 percent), and Badung Regency (122.73 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
