The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 72 regencies/cities with a weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 case count above the national average, currently recorded at 3.37 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, July 20, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 100.41 per 100,000 population/week are South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Tangerang, West Jakarta, and North Jakarta, with values of 146.49, 125.64, 109.54, 108.93, and 100.41 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. 74 regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 33 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Badung, Palangkaraya City, and Denpasar City, with confirmed positive cases of 46.02, 28.74, and 25.35 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
