The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 138 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.42 percent (data as of Saturday, January 21, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 16.67 percent are Deiyai (66.67 percent), Toli Toli (33.33 percent), Parigi Moutong (26.32 percent), Bolaang Mongondow (19.05 percent), and Aceh Barat Daya (16.67 percent).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. 84 districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous period, while 68 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Deiyai (66.67 percent), Toli Toli (33.33 percent), and Parigi Moutong (26.32 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
