The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 78 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.83 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, December 8, 2022).
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 9.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, Kediri City, Surakarta City, Banda Aceh City, and Magelang City, with respective values of 14.45, 11.27, 11.16, 10.71, and 9.02 patients per 100,000 population/week.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 34 regencies/cities, while 49 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Palangkaraya City, and Padang Panjang City, with inpatient use of 10.71, 7.1, and 7.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
