Indonesia's Active Covid-19 Cases Ranked 6th in Southeast Asia

Active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia were recorded at 4,311 as of Friday, December 31, 2021. This number places Indonesia sixth in Southeast Asia.

Indonesia is ranked between the Philippines and Myanmar, with 11,772 and 3,327 active cases respectively.

Meanwhile, Vietnam holds the top spot for the highest number of active Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia with 345,930. Laos is second with 102,355 active Covid-19 cases.

Malaysia is third with 45,645 active Covid-19 cases, followed by Thailand with 33,243 active cases.

Singapore has 2,877 active Covid-19 cases. Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, and Timor Leste have 568, 100, and 6 active cases respectively.

Although the number of active cases in Indonesia has decreased, the public must remain vigilant against the spread of the virus. People should continue to prevent the transmission of corona by implementing the 3M health protocol: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is urged to reduce mobility and avoid crowds.
