The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 277 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage based on KTP identity above the national average, which is currently recorded at 58.47 percent as of Friday, July 22, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 107.85 percent are Solok City, Garut, Aceh Singkil, Sukabumi, and Tebing Tinggi City, with respective values of 122.09 percent, 116.14 percent, 115.28 percent, 108.47 percent, and 107.85 percent.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than before were recorded in 292 regencies/cities, while two regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Tebing Tinggi City, with elderly vaccination rates of 122.09 percent, 115.28 percent, and 107.85 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
