The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 196 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.9 percent (data as of Thursday, October 13, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 31.75 percent are Maluku Barat Daya (50 percent), Toli Toli (45.71 percent), Halmahera Utara (36.67 percent), Banggai Kepulauan (34.62 percent), and Kupang (31.75 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. 127 districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while 121 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Maluku Barat Daya (50 percent), Toli Toli (45.71 percent), and Halmahera Utara (36.67 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
