The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 279 regencies/cities with elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 58.98 percent as of Friday, July 15, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 117.07 percent are Padang Panjang City (278.2 percent), Solok City (179 percent), South Jakarta City (127.6 percent), Yogyakarta City (119.82 percent), and Aceh Singkil (117.07 percent).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 264 regencies/cities, while three regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City (278.2 percent), Solok City (179 percent), and Aceh Singkil (117.07 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
