The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 45 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 0.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Cirebon City, Palu City, Kediri City, Yogyakarta City, and Gunungkidul Regency, with respective values of 1.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization rate was recorded in one district/city, while 12 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Palu City, Bangka Regency, and Metro City, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 1.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.57 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
