The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 203 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 6.01 percent (data as of Thursday, October 20, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 40 percent are Kayong Utara (66.67 percent), Bolaang Mongondow Selatan (62.5 percent), Toli Toli (55.1 percent), Banggai Kepulauan (42.86 percent), and Halmahera Utara (40 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 176 districts/cities, while 106 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kayong Utara (66.67 percent), Bolaang Mongondow Selatan (62.5 percent), and Toli Toli (55.1 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
