Active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia continue to decline. According to Worldometers, the total number of active cases of people infected with the coronavirus in Indonesia was recorded at 37,412 on Thursday, September 30, 2021, a decrease of 1,240 from the previous day.
This puts Indonesia's active Covid-19 cases at 13th in Asia, just below Sri Lanka, which has 46,761 active cases of people infected with the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Turkey has the highest number of active Covid-19 cases in Asia, reaching 477,339. Iran is in second place with 443,129 cases.
Following this are India with 282,813 active cases; Vietnam and Malaysia with 176,791 and 169,718 active cases respectively; the Philippines with 132,339 active cases; and Thailand with 115,423 cases of people infected with the coronavirus.
The number of active Covid-19 cases needs to be continuously suppressed. This can be done, among other things, by diligently implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap.
In addition, the public is urged to participate in Covid-19 vaccination. Vaccination is effective in reducing the risk of death from the virus.
