The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 66 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 2.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 8.26 patients per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, Bangli, Palangkaraya, Sibolga, and West Jakarta, with respective values of 18.93 patients per 100,000 population/week, 18.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, 13.86 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.26 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in 29 regencies/cities, while 25 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Bangli, Palangkaraya, and Sibolga, with inpatient use of 18.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, 13.86 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
