The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 135 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at seven per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, November 23, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 69.32 per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, Bekasi City, Thousand Islands, Tangerang, and North Jakarta, each with 69.32 per 100,000 population/week.
National COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. 120 districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 97 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Bulungan, Tana Tidung, and Kutai Barat, with confirmed positive cases of 36.25 per 100,000 population/week, 35.8 per 100,000 population/week, and 35.8 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
