The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 25 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.43 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
The top five districts/cities with inpatient use exceeding 1.14 patients per 100,000 population/week are Tana Tidung, Central Jakarta, South Bangka, Banjar City, and Cimahi City, with values of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.41 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.86 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
The national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in three districts/cities, while six districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Tana Tidung, South Bangka, and Majene, with inpatient use of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.86 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
