The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 71 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, September 5, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 7.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Jakarta Pusat City, Sabang City, Banda Aceh City, Tegal City, and Magelang City, with respective values of 13.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.63 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
The national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 27 regencies/cities, while 31 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sabang City, Banda Aceh City, and Banjar, with respective inpatient use of 11.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.63 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.49 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
