The Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant of the Covid-19 virus continues to spread globally, reaching 4.28 million cases by Monday, November 28, 2022. The United States ranks first, with weekly Omicron cases growing by 1.05 percent. GISAID recorded 1.95 million Omicron cases in the country. Daily cases in this region increased by 0.05 percent compared to the previous day.
Following the US is the United Kingdom in second place. Compared to the previous week, the number of Omicron cases in the UK grew by 0.21 percent. Yesterday's daily data recorded 1.34 million Omicron cases. In Denmark, Omicron cases increased by 0.85 percent to 324,350 cases compared to the previous week. Japan reported 280,510 Omicron cases (up 3.04%), and Australia reported 115,500 cases (up 3.22%).
In Indonesia, the number of Omicron cases recorded to date is 28,313, a 0.08 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since it was first monitored, Omicron cases in Indonesia have continued to rise.
