The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 90 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 5.6 patients per 100,000 population/week are Kediri City, Sangihe Islands, Banda Aceh City, Sabang City, and Tegal City, with respective values of 7.17 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.71 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.6 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization was recorded in 26 regencies/cities, while 37 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include the Sangihe Islands, Banda Aceh City, and Sabang City, with inpatient utilization rates of 6.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.71 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
