The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 135 regencies/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.99 percent (data as of Friday, March 31, 2023).
The five regencies/cities with the highest seven-day positivity rates, exceeding 25 percent, are Natuna (33.33 percent), Pekalongan City (31.25 percent), Banjarnegara (26.67 percent), Purworejo (25 percent), and Selayar Islands (25 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. Fifty-six regencies/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than previously, while 43 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Natuna (33.33 percent), Selayar Islands (25 percent), and Kayong Utara (23.08 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
