Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Confirmed Positive Cases Nationally (Sunday, July 31, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 80 regencies/cities with a weekly number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 4.79 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Sunday, July 31, 2022).

The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 132.37 per 100,000 population/week are South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Tangerang, West Jakarta, and East Jakarta, with values of 194.69, 170.07, 133.69, 133.65, and 132.37 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. 46 regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 47 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.

Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Palangkaraya, Banjarmasin, and Badung, with confirmed positive cases of 51.39, 49.06, and 47.94 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
