Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Thursday, November 3, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 110 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 2.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, November 3, 2022.

The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 10.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Banda Aceh City, Toli Toli, Magelang City, and Madiun City, with respective values of 21.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 16.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 10.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization rate was recorded in 56 districts/cities, while 35 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Banda Aceh City, Toli Toli, and Palu City, with inpatient utilization rates of 16.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 10.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
